Our name reflects our intention.
We welcome newcomers to our community and will continue to do so, creating a pattern that other interested community members can follow.
What does WelcomePattern do?
We work through Welcome Corps to form private sponsor groups, matching with refugees from around the world.
Upon arrival, we welcome refugee newcomers by securing and preparing initial housing, greeting them at the airport, enrolling children in school, and helping adults to find employment, medical care, and acclimate to life in our community.
The American Barn Quilt
The history of the American Barn Quilt can be traced back almost 300 years, to the arrival of immigrants from the central regions of Europe. These immigrants painted decorative patterns on their barns in what became an excellent way for travelers to find particular families or crossroads, as townspeople would just tell them which pattern to look for.

Our logo reflects immigrant communities.
The history of these American settlers inspires us to work together as they did.
Early settlers carefully used their resources. They had no labor or materials to spare so they typically found the simplest, most expedient solutions to problems. They frequently joined together to help their neighbors with big projects by sharing labor and pooling resources to build lives in a new land.
WelcomePattern is an all volunteer organization.
We have no paid staff.
All funds and goods donated to WelcomePattern go directly to help with newcomers various needs. Your donations are tax deductible.
